Hair & Company Open for Business Policy
We at Hair Co are so excited to welcome our clients back into the salon! The health and safety of our clients and staff is our top priority so your visit with us will have a different look than it has in the past. Although our stylists’ stations are 6 feet apart, we are still implementing a few changes for reopening with physical distancing and sanitation.
Every week we will assess the ongoing situation and with the guidance of the Governor’s office and the Iowa Cosmetology Board, we will adjust as necessary.
Appointment Cancellation
As always, we ask that you cancel your appointment if you are not feeling well or have a fever. Our staff will do the same. You will not be charged if you cancel due to illness. We want you to be safe at home.
Because of the limited time we have to get all of our clients in, we WILL be enforcing our cancellation policy. If you do not cancel within 48 hours, you will be charged 50% of that service. If you do not cancel within 24 hours, you will be charged 100% of that service.
Face Masks
Your stylist will be wearing a mask if the governor mandates it or if the stylists choose to do so. You may wear a mask if you choose to, but there may be time where we ask you to hold it without the ties or ear loops on so we can complete your service.
Arrival
When you arrive we ask that you wait in your car for your appointment until your stylist calls, texts, or waves you in. We will be doing extra sanitations between each client so we will need time to get your space ready and safe for you.
We will be allowing 1 customer per stylist at this time so we ask that you please come to your appointment alone. We will allow 1 child to come with 1 parent if that child is getting a service as well. We will be working very hard to limit the number of people in the salon.

Services
We have removed all magazines and reading material so you may want to bring your own.
Beverages will be served in disposable cups.
Each client will receive a clean cape.
Sanitation
Strict sanitation practices will be in place such as:
Stylists stations will be sanitized between each client
POS terminals will be sanitized after each use
A new cape will be used on every customer
Public areas such as the counter, door, handles, restrooms will be cleaned every 30 minutes
We are all ready to be back to work and seeing your smiling faces again. We will continue to look out for your well being during this time and will make adjustments as necessary.
